FILM
MY Film Journey
My filmmaking journey began in summer 2020, during the peak of the pandemic. I was between my junior and senior years of high school, at home with my family in Virginia. Despite my theatrical background, I hadn't considered exploring film until after undergoing wisdom tooth surgery, when I experienced a drug-induced hallucination that sparked my filmmaking interest. I'm not joking; it genuinely happened that way. The next day, I began my filmmaking journey, and after a few months of online learning, I created my first film and applied to colleges.
Currently, I am studying Film and Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and am set to graduate in May 2025. Filmmaking has allowed me to combine my love for theatre and photography into a single medium.
My focuses are Directing, Cinematography, and Post-Production Sound.

project SCREAM (2023)
Director/ Writer - Marina Earle
Editor/ Cinematographer - Ethan Gomez-Zahnley
Producer - Sydney Lavette
“project SCREAM” (2023) is a new media project that explores how people appear when startled. This project was conducted as a social experiment, and subjects were informed that they were participating in a project aiming to capture individuals in a relaxed state in the presence of a stranger. The process operated in a loop, where Stranger A was instructed to scream at Stranger B once they felt at ease. Following this reaction, Stranger B transitioned to become Stranger A, and a new subject entered the scene, unaware of what was about to happen.
True Colors (2021)
Director/ Writer/ Producer/ Cinematographer/ Editor - Marina Earle
This project was the first film I ever made. "True Colors" (2021) was crafted as a character study, aiming to delve into the transformations between one's inner and outer self and the concealed shadow within.
